As an artist and educator, I am dedicated to creating a space where my students feel free to explore, take risks, push boundaries, and develop their unique voices while engaging with contemporary issues and discourses.
This openness to discovery not only expands their technical skills but also challenges their conceptual frameworks, allowing for new and unexpected ideas and ways of perceiving to emerge. My goal is to inspire and empower my students to become critical thinkers and makers, ready to shape and contribute to the complex world around them and to approach their work with passion, curiosity, and a commitment to ongoing exploration and growth.
Since 2017, I’ve taught courses in video production, animation, and storytelling, working with students across various age groups and levels of experience. My background in filmmaking and interactive digital media has enabled me to approach contemporary art education from a perspective that merges traditional craftsmanship with digital tools and techniques. I’ve guided students through complex, multidisciplinary projects, fostering both their technical skills and conceptual development, while encouraging them to push boundaries and discover their unique voices.
Craftsmanship is central to my approach to filmmaking.
I aim to instill in my students a deep appreciation for craftsmanship by teaching them to look beyond the surface and recognize how every decision, no matter how small, plays a vital role in shaping the final work.
By guiding students through the process of remaking scenes from films, I help them to dissect and understand the artistry behind every shot. Through these exercises, students not only learn the technical skills required to replicate these elements but also develop a deeper respect for the craftsmanship involved in each stage of production.
Collaboration is another key aspect of my teaching. Through group projects and collaborative exercises, students learn to communicate effectively, share ideas, and work together to achieve a common goal.
